Dentures Caroline Springs

Dentures are a removable tooth replacement appliance

Dentures are a custom designed material made to fit each individual mouth. Depending on the specific requirements of each patient, there are two denture options available – ‘partial and full dentures’.

Partial Dentures – Are used to replace only one or just a few missing teeth (partial dentures require the support of existing teeth).

Full Dentures – Used to replace a complete smile.

How the procedure works

The denture process requires a number of steps. Following initial consult, scans and tray designs will be used to mould trial dentures. The scans are sent away for the dentures to be constructed. Once all the sizes and measurements fit correctly and the adjustments have been made, dentures can be secured.

Looking after dentures

Required medical information regarding looking after your dentures will be provided to you by your dental professional. Regular dental visits are essential to ensuring the longevity of the treatment and overall health of your smile.

Deciding on dentures

It is important to seek professional medical consultation to determine whether or not dentures are the most appropriate restorative option for you.

Alternatives to dentures

Dental implants, crowns or bridges may often provide an alternative to dentures.

To Note: Any dental procedure carries risks which also may depend on your general health. This will be discussed with you prior to any dental intervention.

Before proceeding you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner such as your dentist or your doctor.
