Dental Bonding Caroline Springs

Bonding is one of the more conservative cosmetic treatments

Dental or composite bonding can be used to correct a number of oral issues, some of these include:

  • Gaps in the teeth
  • Minor cracks or chips
  • Unaligned teeth
  • Discolouration of the teeth

Dental bonding requires less extensive treatment when compared with other cosmetic treatments. Another one of the benefits is based around the visual effects. The composite material can be exactly colour matched to the exact shade of your existing natural tooth material, the resin is able to mimic the translucent qualities of the enamel, creating a beautiful, visually seamless look.

How the treatment works

After an extensive clean, a gel is applied to roughen the enamel surface of the tooth. A bonding agent, which is also used during a teeth whitening procedure, is applied to the teeth. The composite material is then applied to the tooth/teeth. A polishing process is then used to ensure the tooth is given the desired visual finish.

To Note: Any dental procedure carries risks which also may depend on your general health. This will be discussed with you prior to any dental intervention.

Before proceeding you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner such as your dentist or your doctor.
